With years of experience appraising music memorabilia and pop culture collectibles, I specialize in evaluating, authenticating, and curating items from individual collections, estates, and archives. My work blends historical context with cultural relevance to deliver appraisals that honor both market value and legacy.
I’ve had the privilege of appraising items associated with legendary figures such as Bob Dylan, Gregg Allman, Janis Joplin, David Bowie, Freddie Mercury, Joe Cocker, Johnny Cash and Family, The Clash, Motley Crue, and The Grateful Dead, among others. These include stage-worn clothing (including custom designs by Nudie), artist-owned items, signed instruments, inscribed photographs, stage-used gear, and original artwork created by or featuring these iconic musicians.
Each item I assess represents a unique intersection of personal history, cultural significance, and collector demand—critical elements in determining fair market and insurance value.
My expertise encompasses working with collectors, artists (both living and deceased), estates, music managers, attorneys, and industry professionals, ensuring accuracy in provenance research, historical context, and market trends. Whether it’s a rare vinyl LP, a photo-matched stage outfit, or a handwritten lyric sheet, I provide meaningful context that amplifies its value—both emotionally and financially.
While I conduct professional appraisals across multiple categories, my specialty lies in music memorabilia, pop culture collectibles, and legacy artifacts. I approach each piece with deep knowledge of market shifts, collector interests, and cultural resonance.
All appraisals are USPAP-compliant and meet professional standards for insurance, estate planning, charitable donation, legal matters, sales, and inheritance. Each report is tailored, research-backed, and professionally recognized.

If you or your client is seeking a written evaluation, I provide USPAP-compliant appraisal reports tailored to your needs. These reports include thorough research, condition assessments, and detailed documentation, making them suitable for insurance coverage, estate planning, legal proceedings, charitable donations, and IRS filings.

Whether you're managing a private collection or handling an estate, each appraisal is carefully designed to reflect both the market relevance and historical significance of your items.
To get started, please email me clear photos of your item(s), a brief description, and any known background or provenance. I’ll review your submission and follow up with additional questions or next steps.
If your project includes an extensive archive or multiple items, please mention this in your inquiry so I can tailor services accordingly.
All appraisals are conducted with professionalism, discretion, and accuracy. I’m committed to providing reliable assessments with the highest level of confidentiality.

Resale-Ready Descriptions
Clear, compelling item descriptions crafted for auction, gallery, or online sales — including history, production era, materials, cultural context, and terminology that speaks to both collectors and algorithms.
Authentication & Expert Insight
For select items with ambiguous origins, I offer informed assessments based on visual, material, and historical cues — especially helpful for stage-used, tour-worn, or estate-sourced pieces with partial provenance. Authenticated through research and comparative analysis, these expert insights can help guide next steps, even when a formal COA isn’t available.
Pre-Purchase & Pre-Sale Consultations
If you’re unsure about buying, selling, or keeping a piece, I can help clarify market value, red flags, and optimal placement strategies — whether for a single artifact or a small group.
Private-Sale & Auction Guidance
After a valuation, I can offer ideas on where or how to sell — including auction suggestions, gallery leads, or direct-to-collector pathways where appropriate.
Curious if I can help with something not listed here? Feel free to reach out.
Appraisal Review & Second Opinions
Have a past appraisal or dealer estimate you'd like reassessed? I offer unbiased, research-driven second opinions — helpful when values seem outdated, inflated, or incomplete.
Specialties include, but are not limited to:
Music and pop culture memorabilia — stage-used instruments, tour wardrobe, artist props
Personal Artifacts of iconic figures, past and present
Autographed photographs, promotional materials, and rare ephemera
Vintage fashion and period costume artifacts
Vinyl records, pop culture media, and counterculture items
Typewriters and writing instruments (yes, I’m a typewriter geek)
Vintage and antiquities: Whether you’ve recently acquired an estate, inherited a box of heirlooms, or uncovered a hidden gem in your collection, I can help identify what’s valuable and why. As a second-generation appraiser with extensive experience and education in vintage and antique objects, I welcome items outside the music and pop culture world.

It starts with a photo and a story.
Before an item is appraised, it needs to be seen, understood, and placed in context. Whether it's a signed guitar, a rare record store poster, or a vintage velvet suit, the journey begins with you sending a few clear images and some background.
Here’s how it works:
Snap a few photos – front, back, signature details, labels, any flaws or wear.
Send them via email – along with a short note about what you know (where it's from, how you got it, any paperwork or COAs).
Appraisal begins – I'll review, respond, and let you know the next steps and fee structure. Most valuations begin with an hourly estimate based on scope.
Do you have something special, but aren't sure how to begin?
